This mod aims to improve dinos with cosmetic and gameplay changes.
Main Features
- - Adds rare spawning dinos. These dinos offer a way to get better gear blueprints without having to fly around by yourself farming drops. Intended to be a challenge for small groups or strong individuals. They spawn away from new player areas and stand out from nearby dinos making them easy to avoid if you don't want a fight. Custom server settings let you disable any you do not want to include or increase/decrease spawning limits. Visit the help page on the discussion forum for more information!
- - Adds new color combinations to dinos. Albino raptors, t-rexes, direwolfs. Rare all black argentavis, red raptors etc.
- - Adds new color options to dinos. Including rare colors like teal, pink and purple.
Rare Spawn Variations
Raptor Elite
Found in grass lands and identified by slightly larger size, dark skin color, bright feathers and glowing particles when nearby. 2-3 mid level players with dinos recommend. Currently untamable. Limited to 3 alive at a time.

- Rarity: Very Rare
- Drops: Ramshackle flak blueprints, ramshackle-apprentice leather blueprints, apprentice raptor saddle
Alpha Dilo
Found near beaches and identified by slightly larger size, bright vibrant colors and glowing particles when nearby. The alpha dilo is always male. 1-2 low level players. Drops improved cloth armor blueprints. Tamable (No mate boost possible, always male). Limited to 3 alive at a time. Tamed dilos count toward the limit of 3.

- Damage: Medium Low
- Rarity: Extremely Rare
- Drops: Improved cloth recipes
Obsidian Carno
Location unknown. Identified by it's shiny black and grey scales. 3-5 mid-high level players. Limited to 1 alive at a time. Not tameable.

- Rarity: Very Rare
- Drops: Obsidian, improve carno saddle blueprint, high quality flak helmet

Known Issues
- Newly tamed dinos do not get mate boosted with previously tamed partners. Newly tamed dinos still get mate boosted by other newly tamed dinos. This is a limitation in the way mate boosting is setup and I have not been able to find a fix yet. In the meantime, tame a male/female pair after first installing the mod for mate boost!
Recent Changes
- Vanilla alpha spawns should now always work and are handled by the mod, you can disable them or change the chance to spawn via new . See the section on alphas on the help page.
- Added obsidian carno. Use 'SpawnRareCarnos' in to disable or adjust number of spawns. He appears around the same area so increasing the number will make that area very dangerous.
- Added all color direwolfs. No pink, teal or bright color options. Still found in white, black, red, blue etc. colors.
- Added darker grey color option.
- Adjusted pink and teal color chance for all dinos. Now properly lower then all other possible colors.
- Updated to a mod for 217 dev kit.
- Added new options to control the number of rare spawns. Including disable support.
- Fixed issue with overspawning raptor elites.
- Obsidian Carno prep work.
- Increased elite raptor spawn chance, now that they are limited to 3.
- Alpha dilo is now limited to 3 and no longer de-spawns. Tamed alpha dilos count toward this limit, protect your tamed alpha dilos!
- Added alpha dilo.
- Rare spawns will now despawn after 10 minutes of not attacking anything.
- Raptor Elite has been restrict to a maximum of 3 alive in the world at any time.
This should help prevent them from taking over an area of the map on lower population servers.
