Ok - that's out of my system.
This is the Pliocrocuta; an ancient ancestor to the Hyaena, and this mod is the spiritual successor to the Sarkastodon (rideable Hyaenodon) mod. These spawn alongside the regular Hyaenodon as a rarer variant (about 1 in 10).
The idea behind this mod came from the first time I tamed a Hyaenodon. They're great little hunting buddies that just keep on going and going when you need to get easy food for the dinos.
However, since Hyaenodons can't be ridden, they always seemed to fall short of the Direwolf within my tribe, especially since the TLC update, as it makes hunting slower and more tedious, or you ride a Direwolf with a pack of Hyaenodons following..... I wanted to dethrone the Direwolf as the canid-of-choice for just about everything.
The Pliocrocuta retains the Hyaenodon's heal-on-harvest effect, allowing it to sustain itself while hunting smaller prey. The saddle will provide further weight reduction to meat items, and slightly boosted spoil times (not implemented yet).
In regards to stats, the Plio has lower HP and damage to the Direwolf, but higher stamina and carrying capacity. Therefore, it won't be as capable against large dinos, but is unstoppable against smaller prey. Perfect for quick hunting trips.
Doggo is now can Awoobork with X and be happy giggle with C.
Sit is good for rest.
